Police are appealing to to anyone who may have witnessed how a man received burns over his torso and neck last night.
Police were called at approximately 11:05PM on Monday, 23 March to Woodberry Grove, close to the Seven Sisters Road, after the man was seen in the street. The man, who is believed to be aged between 25 and 30, was taken by London Ambulance Service to a north London hospital, were he is in critical condition.
The cause of the injuries is currently being treated as unexplained and officers have so far been unable to identify the man.
He is described as 5ft 11ins tall, of proportionate build with short brown hair. He was wearing jeans and black trainers; he was not wearing a shirt. He speaks very little English and might be Turkish or Albanian.
Enquiries continue to establish the scene of the incident.
Anyone with information, or who is concerned for the welfare of a friend or family member who matches the description, should contact police via 101.
Officers would also like to speak with a person who is believed to have spoken with the man on Seven Sisters Road, opposite the junction with Amhurst Park. They left in the direction of Woodberry Grove.
