Yet another stabbing in the Hackney area, this time along Stamford Hill Broadway. Police, ambulance…
Police in Hackney are appealing for witnesses and information following a suspected arson attack at a Jewish boys school in Stamford Hill, last Friday, 28 September.
Police were called to Toldos Yackov Yosef School, 14 Heathland Road, N16, by the London Fire Brigade (LFB), to reports of a suspected arson as the LFB were unable to ascertain any reason why the fire may have started accidentally.
At approximately 12:10 am witnesses noticed the glow of flames coming from the building. The LFB were able to conclude that the fire had been started in two different rooms which they were able to extinguish and because of the time the fire began, pupils nor staff where on the premises. Damage was minimal and studies have continued.
The Toldos Yackov Yosef School was established in 1986 and caters to boys ages 3 to 12, primarily from the Square Chassidic Orthodox Jewish community, but also welcomes other chassidic groups.
Anyone who was in the area or has information that may assist police, please call DC Nick Bull on 0207 275 3632, quoting CR4625982/12. To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
