Kirsty Treloar killer found guilty of her murder

A 19 year old man was found guilty of murdering new mother, Kirsty Treloar, two days into the new year and just three weeks after she gave birth to a baby girl.

Myles Williams of Pond Farm Estate, Millfields Road, Clapton, was also convicted of wounding Kirsty’s brother Dean and sister Gemma who tried to protect her.

Earlier, he sent her a text at 11pm on New Year’s Day saying: “Okay wer all gud now and my new yrs ressy is that i aint going to hit u again and i won’t hit u 4 this yr next yr the yr after that the next yr after that.”

It ended: “But I wont u to swear on (their daughter’s) life u wont piss me off and do things to make me angry love you 4 eva.”

During the trial the court heard the attack took place in a bedroom in Kirstys parents home and heard from Kirsty’s sister Gemma Treloar, 24, who described the attack:

“I grabbed the knife when he pulled it back up and he pulled it out of my hand, and I tried to get up off the bed but I could not.”

She said Kirsty pleaded, “Myles, please stop this”, but he grabbed her arm while she was crying.

“I said ‘Please don’t hurt her’. Kirsty looked at me and said ‘Gem, let me go’,”

Myles Williams dragged her outside the house, where neighbours could hear her screams and forced her into a car, before he sped off.  Her body was found approximately 90 minutes later between two wheelie bins near his mothers abandoned Fiat Stilo, in Ryder Mews, Homerton.  Williams had stabbed her 29 times.

In a statement read to the court, Kirsty’s mother, Pamela Dabney, said: “The last year of Kirsty’s life was made a living hell by somebody who was jealous of her relationship with her family and friends.

‘We will be forever scared by what we had to witness that morning and what she had to go through.

‘Nobody deserves to die that way. One day Myles Williams may have a chance of release, but ours is a life sentence with no chance of release for our broken hearts.”

Williams has maintained he doesn’t remember anything about the attack. He is due to be sentenced on Wednesday 26 September.
