Man convicted of Hackney murder escapes from Pentonville

A man convicted of  a 1975 murder in Clapton, escaped out of Pentonville Prison yesterday at approx. 6.30pm yesterday 27 June.

John Massey, 64,  who is described by police as “potentially dangerous”,  shot and killed pub bouncer Charles Higgins, outside The Cricketers pub on Clarence Road.
