Homerton multiple shooting update: Two men arrested

Following Sunday mornings shootings in Homerton High Street, Police say two men, a 21 year old and 20 year old have been arrested on suspicion of  GBH and possession of a fire arm.

The 21 year old man was one of the shooting victims who took himself to a hospital, before emergency services got to the shooting  scene. The second man arrested is 20. Both have been bailed to return to an east London police station on 3 April pending further enquiries.

Police and London ambulance where called to Homerton High Street at about 5.40 am yesterday morning (Sunday), after gun shots where heard in the area near Digby Road.

Shortly after, 4 men aged 25, 25, 45 and 27 arrived at an east London hospital with another man presenting himself at another hospital.

Detectives retain an open mind regarding any motive surrounding the incident.
