As part of BBC’s Olympics host borough 2012 Roadshow, Hackney will be the first stop for the BBC’s big red radio bus today Thursday 19 May.
The bus rolls into Dalston’s Ridley Road market today, where it will broadcast Eddie Nestor, Robert Elms and Gary Crowley shows live for the next three days.
Presenter Eddie Nestor, who was raised in Hackney will broadcast live on Thursday from the market between 5-7pm, where one of his guests will be Dwayne Fields. A Stoke Newington resident, Fields walked from the most northern point of Canada to the magnetic North Pole in 2010. He also hopes to be a torch bearer at next yers Olympics.
Robert Elms will present his Funky Friday Show on Friday between 12 and 3pm.
