The Shoreditch Tales uncover the stories of Shoreditch, Hoxton and Haggerston- their inhabitants and histories. Living memories and historical documents are used to tell the tales of everyday life in Shoreditch from the 1930s to the 1980s. More than forty local people contributed to The Shoreditch Tales and it contains over 100 photos and illustrations, from Victorian times up to the 1980s.
Carolyn Clark, one of the co-authors will be reading and discussing this fascinating book, along with photo slides revealing the people and faces of this diverse and long-standing community.
