To celebrate the opening of the new Dalston Junction over head station and continued investment…
Hackney Councils free street party to celebrate the new Dalston Junction overhead station, last Sunday, brought a cross section of the borough out to play, dance, eat and party.
Young and old, they showed up to celebrate the new Dalston Junction overhead station and what the council describes as “a new lease of life due to sustained investment in the town centre.”
With a variety of tempting dishes that reflected the diverse population of the the borough, they also enjoyed everything from folk to Congolese music.
Information stands gave residents the chance to find out about other opportunities in the borough, including a chance to talk to members of the Council’s 2012 Unit about jobs, training, volunteering and more related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
