The second twin attacked by a fox as she slept, was discharged from hospital today,…
The home of Nick and Pauline Koupparris, where their 9 month old twins were mauled by a fox, has been given police protection, following online threats from animal activists and hostile reactions on internet forums.
Since the attack on 5th June, four foxes have been trapped and killed in the Koupparris’s back garden, which appears to have further incensed their detractors.
Scotland Yard said there were “no specific threats” but officers were there on general duties and were keeping an eye on the family. A Met source added: “We are aware that there is a potential threat.”
Wild accusations of the parents being fame hungry, and even doubts about a fox attacking the babies, have run rife and a Facebook page called “Pauline Koupparis is a lying b****”, was set up but has been taken down.
One of the twins, Lola, has left hospital, but Isabella will remain for at least another week. The Koupparris have another child, Max their 4 year old son.
