Three Stabbed In Gillett Square Dalston

Three men are being treated at a Hospital for stab wounds sustained in a brawl in Gillett Square Dalston, N16 early this morning, Sunday 9 May.  The injuries have been described as not life threatening.

Police were called at approximately 4:47 am after reports of a fight and found 3 men with wounds.  It is believed bottles were involved. Four men have been arrested and are in police custody.

Kingsland High Road (A10) is currently closed between Dalston Junction and Sandringham Road. Gillett Square, is home to world famous Vortex Jazz Club,  shops and homes.  It is also where The Vortex Outdoor Festival is being held today.

Paul Richards, one of the festival organizers said this morning,  “I’m hopeful the Festival will go on”  but said they have contingency plans in place. It’s been a violent night in London with several incidents reported.

Early this morning a 19 year old man was stabbed to death outside Finsbury Park station on Seven Sisters Road and another man was stabbed on Shaftsbury Avenue in the west end.
