A 33 year old man was arrested this morning, Thursday 13 May in a Wood Green street, in connection with the murder of Marcin Bilaszewski. Bilaszewski, a Polish national, was stabbed on Saturday night after a row on the 254 bus in Finsbury Park.
Marcin was with his girl friend Anna Betlinska and a large group of friends en route to a party in Central London, when the suspect began hauing insults at them. A friend, Dagmara Drzymota, who was in the group said they were on the 254 on the way to Finsbury Park tube station where they were to take a train to Central London. “There was a big group of us, around 20 to 25 people, but a man on the bus started insulting us for no reason,” she said. “None of us knew him. He seemed to be acting in a disturbed way. I think he was on drugs.
“As we were getting off the bus most of the group had gone ahead when the man punched Anna”. “Marcin then tried to protect her, but the man pulled out a knife and stabbed him before running away”.
