Two men arrested shortly after the murder of 19 year old Michael McCarthy last November, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning 1st March and entered pleas of not guilty. Julian Edwards, 20, of Aubert Road, Highbury and Mustafa Demirtas, 21, of Old Street, appeared in court via videolink.
Michael of Stoke Newington was stabbed and then ran over with a car near his home on Yoakley Road as he walked with his dog to the shops early evening on the 19th of November.
The car, a grey/sliver Fiat Punto believed to be the one they drove, was found a day later in Welwyn Garden City ablaze.
Both were remanded in custody until a trial in September.
