Hackney Resident Wins Prize At Berlin Film Festival

Indigo, a short film produced by Jules Mascarenhas, whose film Company, Quince Films , is based in Stoke Newington, has won a special mention prize at the Berlin Film Festival.

Shot in various parts of London including Lea Bridge Road and Walthamstow Market, Indigo is about a young British Indian boy who discovers he has a special gift.

Unsure about how he will be perceived by others aware of his gift, he withdraws into his own shell, but is bullied at school and has problems at home.

The film is written by Jack Price (who also directs) & John Bidwell, will have its’ UK premiere at the London Film Festival in the autumn.
