Police sealed off Allen Road in Stoke Newington yesterday afternoon, after reports of gunshots being fired at about 4:30pm.
A local Stoke Newington Tweeter posted his observations as he saw it, soon after the incident and spoke to witnesses and police at the scene. The witness who heard two gun shots then saw three or four youths chasing another youth along Allen Road, into the The Late Nite Shopper convenience store. One of the boys was seen limping as the others chased him. One of them was carrying a gun.
According to the witness the gang smashed the glass of the shop door to enter, still chasing the limping boy who ran into it. They then ran back along Allen Road in the direction of the High Street. The allegedly shot youth was seen running up Milton Grove towards Albion Parade.
The youths were described as Black and aged about 14 or 15 years old and uncorroborated reports mention the injured boy, being one of 3 boys shot last year on Howard Road, Stoke Newington.
Through the ciaos, parents attempting to pick up their children from the MiniHome Nursery on Allen Road were seen trying to persuade officers to allow them to pick their children up.
