Community Safety Open Day

A Community Safety Day will be held at the newly refurbished Stoke Newington Town Hall on Saturday March 13.

Organised by the Hackney Community Engagement Board, the Community Safety Open Day gives residents the chance to talk with the various community groups and services along with voluntary groups such as the RSPCA who will have stalls set up for residents to stop by to chat and ask questions.

Safer Neighbourhoods teams, Police, Fire Service, Hackney Council’s Domestic Violence, Noise Nuisance teams and Trading Standards are just some of the people Hackney Residents will be able to interact with at the open day.

They will be available to provide information and advice on local services available to residents and want to hear your views. Cllr Alan Laing, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods said: “This is Hackney residents’ chance to meet the real people who are tasked with protecting them from crime, anti-social behaviour and unscrupulous retailers.

If residents are worried about anything related to crime or safety in their neighbourhoods, they should come to the Open Day to ask for information and advice straight from the people whose job it is to keep them safe.”

Refreshments will be served all day with lunch served from noon.
