Amhurst Park Road Stabbing Victims Named


The Teenager killed yesterday morning, 27 March in Amhurst Park Road has been named as Godwin Nii Lawson, a 17-year-old aspiring footballer from Enfield.

He was found with stab wounds along with two other men at 1:50am on Amhurst Park Road near the junction with Durley Road and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other young men were taken to a hospital suffering from stab wounds which have been described as serious but not life threatening.

Yesterday, friends arrived to pay tribute and left flowers at the scene.

The two other victims were named by Mr Lawson’s friends as Daniel and Julian Escobar, brothers originally from Colombia.

Detective Chief Inspector John Macdonald of Homicide and Serious Crimes unit said: “The area would still have been quite busy at the time of the attack, so we need to speak to anyone who saw what happened.”
