Who we be?

Hackney Hive is a ‘Hackneycentric’ on line magazine, catering to people who live, work or have an interest in the borough.

Hackney Hive is as organic as the scrabbled eggs you had this morning . It is not part of a conglomerate or a soulless group of hyper local sites.

The aim is to cater to all sections of Hackney and not just a niche.  From hip to family friendly, you will find topical informative features, news, community announcements, reviews, interviews,  competitions, local gig, clubbing and events guide and whole lot more.

All writing contributions are by local residents, so if you would like to submit a story please click here for more information.

If there is something you want to shout about in your community – good or bad, be it pot holes, garbage collection, schools, dog poo, the police, Hackney council, a great initiative started by people in your neighbourhood, your school fete, please contact us.

Hackney Hive also has a community forum where you can start up threads and chat with others. Some of our competitions and giveaways will soon be only open to registered users of the forum.
