Woman Pushing toddler in Stamford Hill violently mugged

Police are appealing for help in identifying a thug, who violently robbed a Stamford Hill woman while pushing her two year old in a stroller, on New Years day afternoon.

Both the woman and her child were unharmed and did not require medical treatment, however both were left badly shaken by the robbery.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, aged 25-30 years 5ft 9ins tall, slim build with short cropped black hair. He was wearing a blue trench coat and blue jeans.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for NE London Shomrim, Chaim Kahan said: “This was a horrific robbery, the woman is still very shaken and scared to leave her home. The two year old girl who was toppled over in the buggy, has since had terrible nightmares, waking up every few minutes, asking if the robber has already been caught”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
