Teenager Raped in Daylight in Clapton Park

Hackney police have just released this statement:

“On the afternoon of Thursday, 20 October a 17-year-old female was walking towards a bus stop in Lea Bridge Road, E5. She was approached by two males who forced her into an area in Millfield Park where one of the males raped her while the other stood watch.

“Both males then fled the scene following the attack. The incident took place between 1400hrs-1600hrs.

“The first suspect is described as a black male of Somali appearance, approximately 5ft 6 inches tall of skinny build and aged approximately 20. He had his eyebrow pierced with a silver stud and was wearing a black t-shirt and grey jogging bottom.

“The second suspect was described as a light skinned black male of medium build with cropped black hair, shaved on the sides. He is aged approximately 20 and was wearing jogging bottoms and black and white patterned trainers.

“The victim is being supported by specialist officers. Officers from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command investigate”.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Sarah Hunter on 020 8733 5999 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“No arrests; enquiries continue.”
