Man stabbed near Stoke Newington High Street

Officers were initially called to Garnham Close, N16 at around 2:40 am on this morning following reports of shots fired. They arrived to find  no people present and no evidence of a firearm having been discharged.

They were subsequently alerted at around  3:20 am of a man, in his 20’s who arrived at a north London hospital with stab wounds to his neck, back and arm. It is believed he sustained his injuries in the area of Garnham Close.

The man has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

Detectives from Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating.

This is the second stabbing within a week in Stoke Newington.  On Monday morning, 22 year old Antonio Rodney-Cole was stabbed yards away from Stoke Newington Church Street and later died of his injuries.
