Teenage girl abducted and allegedly raped in London Fields flat

A 17 year old Hackney student who was walking along Mare Street near the Cambridge Heath/Hackney Road intersection on Wednesday, 4th July afternoon at about 3pm, was abducted and taken to a flat in London Fields where she was raped.

The young woman noticed she was being followed by a man in a car, and turned into Emma Street and then into Oval Street in an effort to avoid him, but he jumped out, bundled her into the car and sped off towards London Fields.

She was able to escape from the flat after he had sexually assaulted her and made her way to London Fields railway station, where she was able to raise the alarm.

Officers are looking for the suspect who is described as being black, aged between 30 and 40 years and of muscular build. He had a shaved head, a scar over his right eye and a piercing in his right ear.

He drove a black VW Golf with a registration plate beginning with the letter V.
