Police were called to Lansdowne Drive near London Fields at 10.30 pm last night, after reports of gunshots.
They arrived to find no injuries or people at the scene,but found evidence of a gun discharge.
There have been no arrests, but Landsdowne Drive and the west side of London Fields is closed, while officers from Trident investigate.
Lansdowne Drive near the Trederwen Road junction will be closed for most of the morning. Diversion in operation – affecting bus route 394.
