Early morning shooting in Stoke Newington

Police were called at 1:25 am today, after reports of gun-shots in the vicinity of Burma Road and Green Lanes

A man thought to be in his early 40′s, was found suffering from gun shot wounds to his face and has since been taken to an East London hospital, where his injuries have been described as non life threatening.

No arrests have been made and  Scotland Yards gang crime unit are investigating.

Green Lanes in both direction was closed for several hours, with buses 341 and 141 being diverted to Church Street.  Roads are now re-open.
