Police say the 37 year old woman shot in Broadway Market in the early hours of Saturday morning was not the intended target.

It’s believed she was caught in a gunshot attack that was in retribution over another shooting on in Queensbridge Road, Dalston, last Wednesday afternoon.

Her condition is stable and not life threatening. She is still recovering at an East London hospital.

Friday nights shooting brings Hackneys shootings this week three.  A 19 year old man was shot in his back  on Sunday night in Gilpin Square on Clapton Park Estate. His injury is said to be non-life threatening.

All shooting incidents are being investigated by Trident.
