Here’s the low down folks. The new Chatsworth Market in Clapton, is all set to begin in September with the aim of holding it every Sunday, but will start off as a monthly market.
The project has been a labour of love by residents and traders on this rare jewel of a high street, where there are no chain stores or global franchises, just independent shops. However, like most community efforts, it costs money. They need to pay for a market inspector, renting the stalls and cleaning up. The amount they need to raise is £900 and are accepting donations via their website and collection tins at various shops along Chatsworth Road.
Help to bring back the market to Chatsworth Road by supporting the effort.
