THE FESTIVAL HAS BEEN CANCELLED. COMPETITION WINNERS HAVE BEEN GIVEN TICKETS TO ANOTHER EVENT.
We have two pairs of tickets to give away to the Apple Cart Festival in July. All you have to do is answer the following questions in an email:
• What is the lingua franca of the South American country, which has had a big influence on Gilles Peterson’s music?
• What did Bob Stanley do before he joined St Etienne?
• WhichLittle Britain celebrity recently had his wedding reception in Shoreditch?
Send your answers to competition@hackneyhive.co.uk
The winners will be randomly picked out of the correct answers on Wednesday 16th June. Winners will be announced here and notified by email. Make sure you include your name in the email.
This will be the groups only UK appearance this year, where they will be head lining the one of a kind Apple Cart Festival in Shoreditch Park on Sunday 25th July.
Along with Lambchop, Gilles Peterson, Edwyn Collins, Stewart Lee, Shappi Khorsandi, Kevin Bridges, Doc Brown and many more.
Tom Baker of Eat Your Own Ears and Marcus Weedon (two of the partners behind London’s Field Day and the Underage Festival) have teamed up with Off The Kerb’s Laughing Boy Comedy Club, members of The Magic Circle, Turner Winning artists Gavin Turk and Deborah Curtis’ The House Of Fairy Tales and The London Word Festival to bring this new addition to East London’s summer festival calendar.
