LolliBop – The Big Bash for Little People 17 – 18 July Comes To Stoke Newington

Parents looking for something to occupy their little ones, over the summer will be happy to know of the Lollibop Festival.

Billed by the organizers as “a fantasy adventure in a world of imagination, magic and wonder where anything can happen”, Lollibop is a childrens festival formulated for the under 10′s and will be held in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington N16 on
17 – 18 July.

Both the young and the young at heart will take part in an all day treasure hunt through a landscape filled with giant whales, fire breathing dragons, blue trees, cardboard castles and, of course, giant lollipops! They will try their hand at fantastic experiments with mad scientists in the laboratory, enter the world’s smallest nightclub- The Miniscule of Sound, win a race at the school’s out sports day, take time out with the animals at Dr Doo’s little zoo, learn some incredible circus tricks in the big top, dance and sing with Mr Whippy at his ice cream van, take part in the Lollipolympics and all before having lunch in the clouds! Along the way there will be the chance to win prizes and access to the VILP (Very Important Little Person) area.

Legendary Pulp front-man and BBC Radio 6Music presenter Jarvis Cocker will be playing a very special DJ set for the young and young at heart on the Miniscule of Sound stage. Also added to the bill is acclaimed comedian Phil Kay, who will be telling stories in his own unique style.
