This is a cinema I wouldn't have remembered if I hadn't come across it while digging up old Hackney cinemas on line as it wasn't a place I frequented, in fact I remember it more being closed than open. It closed in March 1979 partly because the Rank Organisation who owned it, got tired of maintaining it due to vandalism.
