As many of you are aware, 229 Lower Clapton Rd was bought a while back by a church group. But it seems not everyone in the neighbourhood is pleased, and are demanding a building that DOES not belong to them, be renovated to their specification.
The Friends of Clapton Cinematograph have been relentless with their demands of gaining access and have even made racist statements.
They don't speak for the whole community and it's time they back off and let these people carry on, with the building work, which they and Hackney Council are delaying.
Shame on you.

I should add that I have spoken to a spokes person for the parish who has brought me up to speed with the situation. I hope to have a post on the main site.
